What is Gloom?

Gloom is a quake2 modification, where humans and aliens fights against each others. Target is to destroy enemy spawns (from where new enemies can born) and kill all opponents. Read more from Planetgloom.

How can I play gloom?

At first, you have to have quake2 game installed. Next, get gloom client package from Planetgloom. After you have installed gloom, you have to make basic config file. Instructions and ready sample config file can be found here (NOTE: edit url). Now you are ready to join some gloom server.
You can look for gloom servers from servers section on this page, or you can download GSB (Gloom Server Browser) to list all current gloom servers around the world.
Most likely you need to download more maps, because basic gloom client package only contains few older maps. Download maps from http://www.planetgloom.com/gmd/ (Gloom Map Depository). You can download single maps separately, or get the allmap pack, which includes almost all maps. Only the newest are missing.
