Information about IRC network
Most part of our communication between members is made in QuakeNet IRC network. If you want to participate, you must get yourself an IRC client. One of the most popular client for Microsoft Windows is mIRC. I'm not going to write any instructions on how to use IRC, because Internet is full of tutorials.
Here is one: http://www.irchelp.org/irchelp/irctutorial.html.
After you have got familiar with IRC, you can join to our channel in QuakeNet:
#a_team.
Feel free to come discuss with us, just remember few things:
- Please do not advertise/spam anything. Pasting one link is ok, but pasting same link several times (spamming) is forbidden.
- Beware of http links on our channel. Some of them might be offencive for someone, or not ment for children :) You have been warned.
- Don't act like a jerk. Polite and mature conversation is much better way to get our attention, than provocative or insulting act.
- Please use English or Finnish. There are few Swedish people around too, so if it's necessary, Swedish may be ok too.
We also have channel in EdgeIRC network: #a-team
Notice that it's only secondary channel, not many people there, and almost no conversation at all. But it's still possible to contact few of us, if you dislike QuakeNet network, or can't join for any reason.
